What a weekend! Collyweston Historical Society put on a huge weekend of special guest speakers and entertainment for all the family with just under 500 people attending the weekend.
Over 130 people were packed into St Andrews Church to hear guest speakers Stuart Orme complete a talk on Lady Margaret Beaufort and Dr Rachel Delman provided accounts of the Palace from the historical records. Chairman Chris Close completed the evening of talks with a breakdown of the work undertaken to find the Palace.
Many famous characters were present over the weekend including Catherine Howard and Henry 8th.
Lady Margaret Beaufort recreated a scene for the first time in 500 years when she visited her chapel on the side of St Andrew Church.
Famous Tudor Musician Dante Ferrara entertained throughout the day with musical instruments from the period.
Dr Michael Jones, Dr Nicola Tallis and Dr Rachel Delman formed the expert panel along with Stuart Orme for the Great Palace Debate on the Sunday.
